News from PolysciencesProMag™ 3 Series. – 01/08/07 Introducing Polysciences newest range of magnetic superparamagnetic microspheres , the ProMag™ 3 series. ProMag 3 Series carboxyl surfactant-free microspheres are highly uniform polymer-based magnetic spheres with a mean diameter of three microns. ProMag microsphere do not require the use of surfactant due to their hydrophilic surface, this facilitates easier handling and also confers low non-specific binding in protein-based systems. ProMag microspheres can be used for numerous applications. Polyethylenimine (PEI) – 01/07/07 Polysciences have developed a new form of their linear Polyethylenimine (PEI). The new form of Polyethylenimine (PEI) has been designated Polyethylenimine (PEI) “Max”, catalogue number 24314. This new version of Polyethylenimine (PEI) is virtually fully hydrolysed with a nominal molecular weight of 40,000. This is related to the linear, molecular weight 25,000 species, in a hydrochloride salt form. This new product builds on the existing range of Polyethylenimine (PEI) that Polysciences already supply. The Polysciences’ polymer range has includes a variety of both linear and branched types of Polyethylenimine (PEI). The most popular of these being the Polyethylenimine (PEI), linear, molecular weight 25,000, catalogue number 23966-2 Aqua-Poly/Mount Coverslipping Media – 01/06/07 Aqua-Poly/Mount is a non-permanent water soluble, non-fluorescing, mounting media. Aqua-Poly/Mount is formulated for coverslipping directly from aqueous solutions. Aqua-Poly/Mount is designed to work with almost any fluorescent dyes or stains and also contains an antifade component. This antifade property helps enhance and maintain fluorescent stains when performing immunofluorescent protocols. Aqua-Poly/Mount can be used for immunohistochemistry, fat stains, frozen sections and in situ hybridisation. The relatively quick and simple mounting method will help produce good slides facilitating unhindered further study of your specimens. |
