Special grades are available for DNA/RNA electrophoresis ( including DNA finger printing) and for isoelectric focusing. To assist in the selection of the current grade of agarose for your application a table of our recommendations is included.

Immunoelectrophoretic techniques involving gels containing anitbodies are best performed at pH8.6 using an agarose in which the electroendomosis has been carefully standardised to minimise the migration of incorporated anitbodies. Using Agarose type HSA the migration of Human IgG and IgA is ZERO at pH8.6.
